Yes
-Both graphics share (64/128 mb)+shared memory -4500 is newer than x3100 -but x3100 is better than 4500 -both perfomance are almost same but x3100 having better video playback For ur info:
of course and it will run it very smoothly i have Intel 950 and it runs it perfectly
Eh, Dude!! Go with Nvidia 5200 as there is no need to think over it. If you really wanna know why am I saying this then click the link below. It is my whole year experience with Intel X3100 : http://lnk.in/X3100 {if you can't click then paste the code in address ba}.
The minimum requirements for Spore on a Mac are:* Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard or higher* Intel Core Duo Processor* 1024 MB RAM* ATI X1600 or NVidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100* At least 260MB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space forcreated creatures.

The driver for the Intel GMA X3100 graphics adapter with Dynamic Video Memory Technology 4.0 can be downloaded directly from Intel. They allow the operating system to properly interact with the adapter and control the amount of memory available.
DirectX 10.1 supports all DirectX 10.0 card, including the GMA X3100. However, DX 10.1 introduces new features that are not supported in the GMA X3100. Even NVIDIA hasn't released a card that uses 10.1 features yet.
No Intel gma 3100 does not support pixel shader 3.0
No, it does not. Intel x3100 GMA is for simple use of video memory. Maya uses exhausting graphics memory which should be dedicated and X3100 comes with 0mb of Dedicated graphics/video memory. You will able to run Maya though, but the rendering time and working over projects will be infuriating because of the incapabilities of Intel X3100 GMA. I ran both 3ds Max 9 and Latest edition of Maya Unlimited, Maya refused to render my character to highest details because of inavailability of compatible graphic card. And the rendering time of single wall picture with few maps and transparency effects took a hell lot of time, so many times my computer would go 'Not Responding' state and I had to lose so much time and often my computer would crash due to the hell 'GMA'. I advice you to try ATI and If money is not a concern then I strongly recommend you to head for Nvidia 9800 or Nvidia GTx 280 OC (If you can wait then GTX 295 is going to launch in January, it is way better than ATI 4870X2). I don't wish to trouble you with this Intel X3100 GMA as it did to me. Check this out -http://www. lnk.in/intelx3100 . A whole 1 year disastrous experience with this card.
By download I hope you don't mean "pirate". If so, then you can, but you really shouldn't. You can install it to the laptop, provided it has a modern-enough graphics processor (intel X3100 or above should just cut it). But you can't run it without the original disk in the drive, any way to do that would be illegal.
G5 Power PC Macs will not be able to run Sims 3. The requirements are.... *Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard or higher *Intel Core Duo Processor *2 GB RAM *6.1 GB free hard drive space, with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games *ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100
yes...with very horrible resolution n everything...but yeah
