Okay, this list stay well away from... If it isn't listed your dog can eat it:

  • Persimmons [Seeds can cause intestinal obstruction and enteritis]
  • Grapes && Raisins [Contain an unknown toxin, which can damage the kidneys]
  • Pits from peaches and plums [Can cause obstruction of the digestive tract]

But apart from those and not Oranges in large amounts you'll be fine; Strawberries, Apples and Banana's are a typical dogs favourite too.

Yes they can - I just watched mine eat the most of an apple including the core. The question should be "Should German Shepherds eat apples?" and I believe that the general consensus is that dogs lack the digestive enzymes to deal with vegetable matter and as such eating an apple will have no nutritional value to them. That said, I think they might just like the taste!!
