HIV is very sensitive to sunlight and even a little heat would destroy but thought to be so in vitro sense (outside the body).
If we do it in the in vivo sense (inside the body) by drawing venous (or arterial) blood into a machine which can irradiate the blood with a light simulating sunlight over days and weeks maybe we can not only reduce the viral load, as well slough out the infected cells which are permanently infected by the virus. This machine model can have the facility to mix antiviral drugs, nutrients and other medicines as well. It would work on the principle of haemodialysis.
Of course, the patient would need to be hospitalised and oxygenated as well. It would require the collaboration of radiologists, microbiologists, physicians and of course the engineers to materialise this kind of in vivo study.
