If you have the child on visitation and he needs a minor thing (EG: children's aspirin) and there is no specific rule saying you can't yes.

If the child is injured and the custodial parent is not contactable, you may make reasonable and necessary decisions in an emergency

If you want to put the Child on Prozac with out your joint custody parents approval, NO
