You didn't say if its a 1500,2500 or 3500? I read on a 1500 it takes a 2-3" lift with 4.5 BS rims, but I've never tried it.
I am trying to put 17" tires on my 1998 ext cab V8 dodge Dakota is it possable with a 2 or 3" body lift?

no dodge change the body style in1997. 1995 and 1996 are the same body style.

A 1995 Dodge 1500 doesn't have a carburetor. It has a throttle body. A fuel line does not connect to the throttle body. The fuel is supplied to fuel injectors via a fuel rail.
It is on the base of the throttle body.
I have 36's on mine, 6in susp lift and 3in body lift.
With no body, paint engine problems with good tires $3500. Mild paint or body damage $2800.
under the vehicle, behind the front tires and before the rear tires there should be a reinforced body seam area that will support lifting one wheel off the ground.
