1797- Sojourner Truth was born as a slave in new york.

1808- got sold to a man named john Neely.

1810- sold to a man named john dumont

1826-she escapes the farm and one night god revealed to her telling her he is every where.

1827- all slaves in new york got legally freed. she secured the return of her son peter who was sold in permanent slavery in Alabama.

1828-lived in new york and worked as a domestic.

1843-named her self sojourner truth and she traveled places and gave speeches.

1846-truth joins the anti-slavery lecture

1850-the narrative of sojourner truth was published and she gave her speech called 'ain't i a women'

1857-she moved in a house in battle creak Michigan

1864-meets president Lincoln and was glad she had the meeting.

1883- she died in battle creek on Nov/26 at age 86.
