As long as you put in exactly the same as what came out. Go by vin # engine code. Eg: if you take out a 2.2 OHV put another 2.2 OHV back in, not a 2.4 or other.

I believe 1995 through 2005 fenders are all the same. Surely a 1996 and 1997 fender will fit a 1998 model.

I have a 1998 Pontiac sunfire gt and it is on the side of the gear shifter (automatic) however, if it is standard then I am unsure.
I have a 1998 Sunfire and am getting my coolant sensor replaced today. I am told by the dealer that it is located in the housing of the plastic reserve bottle. Basically I am told you have to replace the entire bottle. Hope that helps? I just unplugged mine it was a lot cheaper
