No you may not have milk.
I had my last period 1 1/2 months ago had a blood test done 2 weeks ago but my breasts are leaking colostrum. Am i pregnant? I stopped breastfeeding my second child October 2006, might it be due to this that the milk is just still working itself out
With some exceptions, this is particularly because the hormones responsible for the production of milk is still working.
If the mother is still breastfeeding, then the pregnancy has been recent. The mothers body still has stockpiles of nutrients, water, etc... that was necessary for the babies growth and development. The mother is also still producing "milk" which consists of Colostrum (thick yellow-white substance) that contains antibodies in it that help protect the breast fed baby by providing it with antibodies
This is caused by progesterone. I have this myself and im not pregnant. It can be pregnancy related but you would be over 3 months pregnant if this was the case. Still see your doctor about this. Breast and nipple changes need to be examined. ACTUALLY, you can get Colostrum leaking from your breasts at 4wks. it is clear-ish and can be squeezed out if you try. Colostrum is produced to get your body ready for breastfeeding. If you want more answers google it, because the majority of answers from all kinds of sites might make you feel better.
There might already be a few drops of colostrum straight away but milk usually comes in about 3 days after birth.
Parturition (or birth) is called caving, however, the first milk is called colostrum. This is the same in all mammals including humans.
About 6 months
I think he's still yellow. Because if you squeeze a sponge it's still the same color.
If you are taking herbal medicine, you can still breastfeed.
My friend took Colostrum in pill form to boost her immune system when she had Mono. She complained that her breasts hurt her when she went for a run or went out dancing. She said they were bigger and more firm and I saw the difference when she showed me. Still, the pain wasn't worth it for her so she stopped taking it. It could be that she was taking too high of a doseage but I am not a doctor, just a friend. I hope this answered your question!
Certainly, but only your doctor can advise you on the safest way.
