With some exceptions, this is particularly because the hormones responsible for the production of milk is still working.

When is the right time to stop breastfeeding?
In the USA, most mothers stop breastfeeding at one year. However, in most other countries, and also in the Bible days, mothers would stop breastfeeding their child after four years. This may seem strange, but it is the correct way to form a strong bond with your child, and for the child to grow up healthy and very smart, as breast milk is extremely good for the body.

It's possible to grow another inch or so because my mom stopped growing in FIFTH GRADE but then grew another 2 inches after graduation.

Breastfeeding is good until 2 years of age only. If you are still breastfeeding your 4 year old kid, your milk is already considered a foster milk with lesser calories already. Your child is not taking enough calories and nutrients he need for growth. It is time for your child to eats solid food and drink milk from a glass to prevent teeth malformations.
