If you put the original date in one cell and the calculation in another cell, then the result will appear in that second cell. So if the date was in cell B3, in cell E5 you could put the following formula:

=B3-270

There is no way to type a formula in one cell and have its result appear only in another cell. So if you then wanted to have that result in yet another cell too, then you could put the following into your third cell:

=E5

The result of the formula will now be in E5 and the other cell you specified. If at any stage the result in E5 changes, like if you changed the calculation or the original date, both E5 and the cell you made equal to it will both change immediately.

How do you find out what the date was 77 weeks ago?

Today being the 6th of September 2009, then 77 weeks ago was the 16th of March 2008. 77 weeks is 539 days ago. You can use lots of things, like a computer, to take 539 days from the current date. You can do it in a spreadsheet. If you put today's date in one cell, say cell A1, then in another cell you can put a formula to subtract 539 days from it and it will give the result as a date, like this: =A1-539

What is the formula for age in Excel?

Put the date of birth into a cell., say cell B2 Then put the following formula into another cell. =INT((TODAY()-B2)/365.25) First it takes the date of birth from today's date. That gives a number of days. To take account of leap years, that total is then divided by 365.25 to convert it into years. As we generally think of your age as being what you were at your last birthday, we use the INT function to get the whole number part of your age.

How do you get the number of days before your next birthday using excel?

Finding the difference in days between two dates is easy. Put your next birthday, or whatever date you want to find the amount of days to, in one cell as a date, say cell A1. Put today's date in another cell, say A2. You need to subtract the earlier date, which is today's date, from the later date. So then you need in A3 to put in the following formula:=A1-A2At first you will get a date. Now put the cursor on A3. Go to the Format menu and then pick Cells, then Number, and then either General or Number. It will convert your date into a number. That is the amount of days between the two dates. If the formatting toolbar is on, you could also have clicked the comma icon, which would also convert the date into a number.

How can you find difference of days between two days in Microsoft Excel 2007?

Type one date into one cell, say A3 and the other date into another cell, say A4. Then in another cell you enter a formula that subtracts the earlier date from the later date. So if the later date is in A3, your formula would be: =A3-A4 You are now likely to get a date as a result. The date may seem to make no sense. However, what it is the amount of days between the dates added to the 1st of January 1900. Now what you need to do is change the formatting of this date to a number. Once you do that, you will have a number which represents the difference in days between the two dates.

What formula determine days between the date and the current date in Excel?

You need to put today's date in one cell, say A2, and the other date in another cell, say A3. Then you would type this into an empty cell: =A2-A3 The later date needs to be first, so if the other date is after today, the formula would be: =A3-A2 If you get a date as a result, format that cell to Number. Press Ctrl-1 and pick the Number format.

How To determine the date for a given number of days past a start date?

If you add a number to a date it will take it as being an amount of days and give you a new date that is that amount of days after the first date. So if you had today's date in cell B2 and wanted to see what date it is in 60 days from now, in any other cell you could type the following formula:=B2+60
