Yes. It will take a very long time to load, but you can. You must make sure you have updated the program used to play the video as well such as: Java.
Cable internet is definitely more expensive than dial up. However, cable is worth the extra money. The internet is MUCH faster than dial up internet. Websites on dial up take a very long time to download and many videos are impossible to watch. In my opinion, cable is much more reliable than dial up and you should expect huge improvements from dial up to cable.
My suggestion is to probably to get a better dial up isp that may help.
It is a system where a computer can use the phone lines to dial up to the internet
Broadband is over 10 times faster than dial up. You will need broadband if you want to watch movies or listen to music from the internet on your computer. You can usually get basic broadband for around $20-$25 a month.
If you have to dial a number on your computer to connect to the internet and cant make or receive calls while your using the internet then you are a dial up user. And of course your speeds will be very low.
ADDITIONAL INFO! I don't know how to add it to the question, soo... I have a very old computer running windows 2000 ME and it usually connects to the internet through dial up. We got rid of dial up a long time ago and recently I bought a NETGEAR WG111T wireless adapter. I downloaded the installation files onto my working computer and transferred them to the second non-internet computer via flash drive and installed all the needed software and drivers. The adapter is connected to my router but my computer wants to use dial-up to connect to the internet. Does anyone know a way to re-work the computer so that it connects to the internet with the adapter not dial-up?
When a dial up internet connection is initiated, the computer uses a modem to establish a connection to the an internet service provider through the telephone network. This causes the iconic dial-up sound that is similar to dialing a phone number.
No, a dial-up modem is not an ISP; it is a device used to connect a computer to the internet over a telephone line. An Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a company that offers internet access to customers, using various technologies, including dial-up, DSL, cable, fiber, and more. The modem acts as a gateway between the user's computer and the ISP's network, enabling internet connectivity.
Your computer may "dial on it's own" if you have either set it to automatically reconnect when the connection is terminated abruptly, or if a program that you are using is trying to connect to the internet to perform a task.
using a dial-up network or a broadband network
No. A modem is used for dial up.
Connect your cellphone to the computer and make a dial-up connection to the Internet.
