I believe so. They were bred to hunt.
It's plausable!
yes they can, but you can train it not to!
A breed of dog meant to hunt and kill vermin.
A Jack Russell could conceivably kill an echidna. Domestic dogs are one of the greatest threats to native Australian fauna, and Jack Russells are notorious for their tenacity. Though small, they could possibly get past the echidna's defensive spines.
they probably saw it as an easy target to kill as dogs like to feel strong Im sorry about the jack russell hope this helps samsami
No, Yorkshire Terriers do not kill kittens.
Any dog has the capability to kill a mouse if it has not been trained to control itself. Many dogs just bark at mice and other potential quarry. Terriers are especially bred to be "ratters", i.e. they will chase and hunt down rats and mice. Some terriers have better instincts for this than others, particularly the Jack Russell terriers. They are quick, agile and intelligent, but easily bored if not continually given mental or physical stimulation.
well they kill any animals including snakes, rabbits, moles, voles, mice, ect.Our Jack Russell even killed a Coyote!!!!!!!!!They arent just used for killing ours is a nice loving dog they even herds cows!
Jack Russell terriers are bred to ground small rodents such as rabbits, gophers, rats etc. They kill and bring them to you because it is in their nature to do so. The dog is well bred apparently It is in their nature because farmers in the past and probably present day use terriers to clean their barns of rats. They were originally bred to fox hunt and so they have very strong hunting instincts. All these traits provide them with the ability to dig and chase rodents, rabbits, and foxes.
That all depends on how you train you dog. Sometimes Jack Russell's love to play with cats but other Jack's may want to kill it. So it mainly depends on where it came from, how you train it with cats, and if your dog responds well around cats. Sometimes the dog just doesn't like the certain cat or where it came from. My dog HATED our neighbors cat but when i brought my dog to my aunts house he was very friendly to my aunts cats.
Yes, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier was originally bred to kill rats for pest control and organised ''ratting'' competitions. However, I have a Staffy and two pet rats and my Staffy is scared of them! There are many breeds that were bred for vermin control, including the Jack Russell Terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier, Norfolk Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Miniature Schnauzer, Border Terrier, Patterdale Terrier and many more. In fact, pretty much all Terriers were originally bred to kill rats.
Minks are predators and a duckling is a reasonably sized prey.
