Jehovah's Witnesses seek out the best health care that they can find that does not involve blood transfusions, which they deem as unscriptural because of God's admonishin to Noah that he may eat meat but should pour the blood out on the ground as it represents the life. They further believe that Acts 15:29, when it speaks of abstaining to blood, re-enforces this law for Christians. Insulin as well as the vast majority of medicines and medical procedures are acceptable to Jehovah's Witnesses.
