Miru is the name of a female Japanese singer and, possibly due to this, it is used a Japanese girl's name.
There are apparently different meanings but the verb means 'to see', so for a name I would say it means something like 'One who sees' as in 'one who understands' or 'one who sees clearly'.
Other than that, the name could come from the goddess Miru, from Polynesian mythology, who is a bit like an equivalent of a demon or the devil, as she intoxicates the souls of the dead with kava (a plant used as sedative) and then burns them for eternity in her oven.
Hope that helps T_T I've named a character this so good luck to us both!
