Hi,
I don't think it does, but here is my story, before I smoked I weighed in at 112kg, I started smoking because I had trouble sleeping at night and I've tried every pill etc although i did sleep at times, I felt it to be a "false" sense of sleep, and I started depending on these pills and I wouldn't sleep without it.
So a friend of mine introduced me to marijuana as he told me he sleeps like a rock every night, I tried it and I fell in love, I actually felt like I was sleeping again (natural sense) I stopped the pills and now I will smoke a small joint before I go to bed every night.
6 months later I dropped in kilograms, I use to be 112kg now I'm 92kg, I lost 20KG in like 6months, being active before smoking weed I just couldn't drop in weight, I started smoking weed and I lost the excess 20kg, this is me getting munchies on a very regular basis too :P
What I have noted now tho is, that when I smoke I feel like I need to "Mission" around, sometimes I will just walk in the middle of the night chilling etc, some days I will play Kinect (Xbox) for like 2hours a time without noticing the time as it's just so much more fun, swimming is the best though :P
Since I discovered MJ I have lost interest in Alcohol too, and that too has made me shed of some weight, so yeah it can assist with weightloss as it did in my case.
I for one wouldn't mind this "drug" to be legalised, I see nothing wrong with a bit of euphoria and feeling of wellbeing and best of all a good night's rest.
Enjoy!
