There is nothing wrong with writing an answer in Microsoft Word and then pasting it on Answers. However you may not copy content from another website, paste in in Microsoft Word and then paste it into Answers. this is against the rules and it is against the law (copyright violation).Answers has measures in place to help us detect content which is unoriginal or copied form elsewhere on the internet. Once such content is brought to our attention either by:One of the many automated patrol bots on AnswersA contributor who believes the answer is not originalThe real owner/writer of the stolen content getting in touch with AnswersOr a patrolling Supervisor spotting the copied and pasted contentThen it is promptly removed.According to the ToU, Supervisors have the power to remove contributions which they believe to be in violation of the Answers ToU and the laws of the US. They also have the power to warn and terminate users who violate the ToU and the law. Answers Corporation also have the ability to seek legal action against:Those who constantly attempt to get around their warnings/terminations by creating a new account (we have measures in place to detect multiple accounts too)Those who attack the website by any means because they cannot accept that the rules and law are there for them to follow. So, in summary, you are welcome to write your own answer from scratch in Microsoft Word and paste it onto Answers. However you may not copy content, paste in Word and then paste it onto Answers. Even if you own the content yourself (because it is still unoriginal).
