I don't know, but Toshiba Portege M300 from a box can't read it. I buy USB card reader and not use internal SD reader for years... Surprisingly, after complex update (latest BIOS, latest drivers from Toshiba site) it begin read SDHC! I glad see what my old laptop support new technology after simple software update!
V2 can read SDHC. Some have found also success reading SDHC by loading Rockbox system.
I have an acer 5100, and I have not been able to read sdhc cards with my sd reader.
Yes. SDXC is the next evolution of SDHC just as SDHC is the evolution of SD. Newer devices can read the older type memory cards, but it doesn't work in reverse (you can't put an SDXC card in an SDHC device).
"It comes with an adapter" No - all the adapter does is makes it from a micro SD card into a (standard size) SD card. Not sure you can do anything to convert it from SDHC to SD as they physically address the memory differently. Your equipment has to be SDHC compatible to read/use them.* SD compatible equipment - Will read/write to SD cards but WILL NOT read/write SDHC cards* SDHC compatible equipment - Will read/write both SD and SDHC cards
The two are not mutually exclusive. However, the card reader must have the firmware necessary to read an SDHC card. If the device is more than a couple years old, there probably aren't any updates available to add this functionality.
An SD card is a Digital media card, and they make them up to 2GB in size. An SDHC is the same thing, but it has High Capacity, and and you can get them from 4GB to 32GB in file size. The difference is file size, that is all. an SD card is 512MB-2GB and an SDHC is 4GB-32GB. For more information on SD cards, visit www.sdcard.com
SDHC is a little more relaible.
Go to the asus site,to support page and download file sdhc upgrade. Now you can use the sdhc ram.
Yes I have one and I have used the SDHC card
Yes you can transfer video files onto the SDHC card and watch it with any computer, TV or electronic device with a SDHC slot.
The Transcend 16 GB SDHC is large, but you can also get 32 GB SDHC cards for your camera.
SDHC version 2.0 cards are effectively identical to standard cards (SDSC) with the major difference being capacity size (SDHC goes to 32GB, SDSC up to 4GB) and format (SDHC ships with FAT32).
