No. The child labor law say you have to be over 16+. Or you could babysit for a local. Above answer by another poster is ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT!!! * 14- and 15-year-olds cannot work during school hours, (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.), they can work after school for three hours, not past 7 p.m. on any night of the week; they may not work more than a total of 18 hours a week. * 14- and 15-year-olds cannot work in any manufacturing or warehouse establishment, around any mechanical, factory or construction site or work in any establishment that serves alcohol. * Employers must obtain work permits for all minors under 18. Work permits are issued at all city and county Boards of Education and at most high schools in the state. Many private schools also issue work permits. For more information call the Alabama Dept. of Labor at 334-242-3460 or visit their Web site at www.alalabor.state.al.us.
