U.S. and Canadian citizens ages 15 or younger with parental consent will be allowed to cross the borders at land and sea entry points with certified copies of their birth certificates rather than passports.

However, it is recommended that even children travel with their own passports. Your passport will not expire for another five years and will enhance your safety.

You were born in Canada took Australian citizenship in 1976 at the age of 25 does Canada still recognize you as a Canadian Citizen and why won't they let you have a passport?

This question hinges upon whether you have dual citizenship or not. When you became an Australian citizen, did you keep your Canadian citizenship? If you did not, then you are not entitled to a Canadian passport, you are now considered a foreign national. This answer raises more questions - how do you "lose" Canadian citizenship? If you were born there, you will always legally be a Canadian. A passport has little to do with citizenship in this regard. I was told if I were to go and live there for 1 year, then I would be eligible to hold a Canadian passport again - probably something to do with taxes more than an allegiance to one country or another.

Can you fly from Birmingham to Knock Ireland without a passport?

If you are not an Irish or British citizen, you will need a passport. Ireland and Britain have a free travel area arrangement, but most people will still bring a passport anyway. If you are not an Irish or British citizen, you will need a passport. If an American citizen lives in Canada and holds a Canadian Permanent Resident Card can he still re-enter the United States on their U.S. Passport or only on their Canadian residency card?

This person is still an American citizen and should have no problem re-entering the states if he wishes. I would of course suggest checking with someone from U.S immigration services first

Can a UK citizen enter the US if their passport expires in less than six months?

Yes. As long as the passport is still valid.

If you are a citizen and your wife is a resident is she considered a citizen now and can she apply for a passport or visa for travel out of the states?

No, you must apply for citizenship, take a test, and get sworn in as a citizen of the us. You are then no longer a citizen from whatever country you are from. Until you are a citizen I believe she would still need to use the passport from her country of origin.

Can I get back into the US without a passport coming from rocky point Mexico?

If you are a Mexican, Canadian or American citizen you can cross the border on foot or by car with a valid photo ID. As of July 2011 you still do not need a passport. If you were to arrive by air or Cruise ship you would need a passport.

If father was born in Canada and you were born in US what are your options as a Canadian?

I am not certain what you mean by "options" but your status is a US citizen which means you would be required to obtain a US passport to enter Canada. If your father still holds Canadian citizenship you might be eligible for dual citizenship but that would be determine by Canadian laws not US laws.

Born in Canada to an American mother and a Canadian father do you need a Canadian passport to enter the us?

Yes, you need a Canadian passport. What most people still do not realize is that the commercial airlines will not allow you to board the aircraft without a passport. So it's not just the governments.Even if you travel by land, the US requires you to show a valid passport..............................Hold on, now. The question was about a Canadian Citizen entering Canada. It was not about boarding an aircraft. When you leave the USA and cross the border into Canada, you don't have to show anything to US Customs. You only need a passport to enter the USA.The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the right of a Canadian citizen to enter Canada. A Citizenship Card is proof of Canadian Citizenship. Under the Charter, that is sufficient to be admitted to Canada.

Does a french citizen need a visa and passport to travel to the US?

A visa is not required as France is a VWP member country, but a valid passport would still be required.
