I assume you mean fit in a non-turbo Eclipse?
Yes, it will FIT. But can you get it to run correctly without spending a lot of money? Not likely.
The engine control system and wire harness is different. Different exhaust system. Usually same engine mounts, but you may need to upgrade the radiator.
Can it be done? yes. But it'll cost you more than its worth.
That model of Eclipse came with a 4 speed automatic or a 5 speed manual transmission.

Well if your asking about the 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, w/o turbo it's 140. GS Eclipses don't come stock with turbo so either your looking for a GS-T or GS-X, or you have put your own turbo and that would be specific to your turbo set up.
If it is a Gs Spyder then it is 141 HP.
Get a manual on your car and do the job correctly.
On the Non-Turbo it is on the left side of the Throtle body. Turbo model I have no clue.
negative only 420a motor for non turbo or 4g63 for turbo model...or extensive modifying. i don't know why you would want to. 2000+ eclipse motors are garbage as well as the dodge 420a non turbo motor...the only motor that sould have ever been put in the eclipse is the 4g63 period.
according to my pressure gauge on a 99 gst at idle about 50 and 3200 about 75psi
yes
Exactly the same.
140
The shift solenoid on a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse is on the back of the valve body. Removing the transmission pan is required to reach the solenoid.
