That's going to depend on your transfer case. If you have a manual transfer case, or an electronic transfer case with a neutral position, then all you have to do it put the transfer case in neutral. If not, then you'll have to remove the driveshafts in order to flat tow it without wrecking your transmission.
will it hurt automatic transmission in 2003 4by4 kia sportage being towed behind rv
According to Motorhome Magazine, the 2010 Buick Larosse can be towed "4 down". LaCrosse CX/CXL/CXS Base Weight: 3,929-4,045 - Max Speed 65 MPH - No Distance Limits Okay to Tow with AT=Yes - Manual Trans N/A Est MPG=17/26 - Approx Price $27,085-$33,015 Note: Run engine at the beginning of each day and at each fuel stop for 5 minutes. See Your Owner's Manual The AWD model can be towed also but weighs a little more and gets a little less MPG.
no it will screw the trans. up
none. Automatic transmission cars are subject to trans failure if the drive wheels are on the ground while being towed. Some auto trans trucks can be towed safely, if they come with a transfer case that can be switched to neutral. This will disengage the trans from the drivetrain.
YES.
If 4wd, then yes. Just put the trans in park and the transfer case in neutral. Make sure to turn the key one spot forward so the steering can turn.
As long as it is out of gear and the brakes are off.
yes it can as long as you tow it from the front wheels
you will have to have it towed to a shop to have the trans flushed; do not drive it!!
Sure. Everthing in neutral, no hubs locked.
no you must take driveshaft loose and tie it up. but do not remove or you will loose all trans fluid. if driveshaft not unhooked trams damage will happen
Not unless you remove both front and rear driveshafts. Failure to do so WILL damage your transmission and possibly also your 4x4 transfer case.
