If you have the flex fuel version of the 3.0 litre " Vulcan " V6 engine , you can use E85 ethanol or " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane , or any combination of the 2 fuels
To identify if your engine is a flex fuel version ( there will be a sticker inside the fuel filler door and also the 8th " character " of the VIN will be a " K " )
It isn't designed to do that. Running E85 could damage the engine.
I was looking at the 1999 Ford Taurus Owner Guide and it shows : Both the 3.0 liter DOHC , Duratec engine and the 3.0 liter , Vulcan engine are designed to use ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane ) * so , the answer would be ( no )
the engine in a 84 ford laser is not ethanol compatible & will run like a sack of crap if you use fuel that contains any ethanol
2002 Ford Taurus
According to the 2003 Ford Taurus Owner Guide : If you have the Flex Fuel Vehicle ( FFV version of the " Vulcan " V6 engine ) Identified with a label inside the fuel filler door and also the 8th " character " of the VIN will be a " K " You can run " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane or E-85 ethanol , or any combination of the 2 fuels ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The other 2 available engines use " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane
They will fit, but are a little narrow. I have a Taurus and run it on 215/65/15 tires.
It's designed to run on " regular " unleaded gas - 87 octane . The gasoline can have a maximum of 10 % ethanol ( If you mean E 85 - NO ! )
yes the first model t did run on gas but Henry Ford also built it to run on alcohol(Ethanol)
The best method could probably be to just remove the fuel fuse and run the car to either allow it to used any fuel in the system lines or just to confirm stall.
The Ford Taurus and Escort are not cheap cars (as far as quality goes). Speaking financially, they are cheaper than some competitors and are also great on saving gas money in the long run as well!
I'm not sure if this helps but I have a 97 Ford Taurus and thought i had to have mine replaced (ended up being the actual heads) and was going to run me 900 and that was the cheapest estimate i got I'm not sure if this helps but I have a 97 Ford Taurus and thought i had to have mine replaced (ended up being the actual heads) and was going to run me 900 and that was the cheapest estimate i got
If you have the defroster on the ac will run. It dries the air to help clear the inside of a foggy windshield quickly.
