Yes.
Can a Toyota tacoma be flat towed? Well it depends on how flat it it if you are talking so flat that it could be a ramp then no but maybe not that flat I am sure you could!!!!
yes just place the transfer case into neutral
Yes, switch the transfer case to neutral.
If it has a manual transfer case, you just put the transfer case into neutral.
Any car could be. A 2wd drive car with a manual transmission can simply be put into neutral and flat towed. A 4wd vehicle with a manual transfer case can simply have the transfer case placed into the neutral position and be flat towed. Vehicles with automatic transmissions and vehicles which don't have manual transfer cases capable of being put into a neutral position (such as the electronically controlled NP233 or any all wheel drive transfer case) typically need to have the driveshaft(s) removed in order to be flat towed.
I did and there were no issues, I made sure trans was in neutral as well as the transfer case. I did hear about a friend who towed an auto in neutral without the transfer case in neutral and the transmission is bad now. You want the transmission in Park and the transfer case in neutral.
If it is a 4x4 with "neutral" on the transfer case, put the transmission in park and the t-case in neutral. If it is not a 4x4 or does not have neutral on the t-case, then the answer is simply no. The transmission should be an A43D or R154 IIRC, and does not circulate fluid w/o the engine running, so will burn bearings and bushings if towed much more than about 5 miles. There is one other option, which is to let the engine just idle in neutral while it is being towed, as this will keep fluid circulating.
You have to press and hold the 2HI and 4LO buttons simultaneously for approximately 5-10 seconds. This shifts the transfer case into neutral.
JUST CHECKED WITH A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER. HERE IS THEIR RESPONSE. "I checked and Toyota specifically calls out that warranty is voided if any Toyota vehicle is flat towed."
Yes. Just put the transmission and transfer case in neutral.
something that has a transfer-case that can be placed into a neutral position. check with your dealership for certain
If four wheel drive, yes. Transmission in park, transfer case in neutral.
