If the parents press charges, yes. The 17 year old is a minor and still considered a child. I've heard of people getting charged with corruption of a minor as well as statuatory rape.
No a 17 year old cannot move out of the house without her parents consent, If you leave your house before you are 18 years old ... especially since the guy is 20 .. your parents can have him arrested, and I'm sure they will. Once 18 you can do whatver you want, until then sorry hun America's rules. …Him being 20 and you being 17 .. that is considered statuatory rape -- well, if you live in Michigan, the age of Majority is 18, but of you move out at 17, the police will not take you home. You technically cannot be reported as a runaway, because according to MCL, you are NOT considered a minor. a Minor is a person LESS THAN the age of 17, and the juvenile court will have no say in what happens to you. First off, a 20-year-old can get himself into trouble if he gets a minor pregnant. Never the other way around. And it's the same thing if an under age boy gets a grown woman pregnant. the adult can face up to 10-15 years of prison
Often this could lead to arrests, in this case it's likely that the girl, who is much older than the boy would be arrested for child abuse.. The boy becomes a man as a father and a husband.
Normally she will have a baby. It is not illegal for a 20 year old to have sexual relations with a 17 year old as long as 16 or 17 is the age of consent where they live. Otherwise it could be statutory rape. That doesn't mean however that he is not partially responsible (by law) for the maintenance …and upkeep of the child. ( Full Answer )

If she has reached the age of consent nothing will probably happen. If she has not and there are no close in age exemptions, he can go to prison for statutory rape. See your state for age of consent.
Assume so. The girl is not over 18.. In most states, if the girl is under the age of consent, yes. But the age of consent in the US, believe it or not, is usually somewhere between 14 and 16. But the caveat for the man is that, if he is more than 36 months older than a girl between the age of conse…nt and legal age (18) he's in trouble. But it all depends on the statutory laws of the state. ( Full Answer )

The 14 year old has a baby and the 17 year old ends up with criminal charges for sexual contact with someone under the age of consent.
The answer is that it depends. Most often, he will not be arrested because the age of consent in Texas is 17. There are some other factors involved that can be found in the Texas Penal Code, Chapter 22.
Lucky for you, after the sweet age of sixteen, you can no longer be tried for statutory rape in the state of Georgia.
Yes they can if the sex was not consentual but if it was then it is totally legal. The legal guardian of the under aged (minor) may not "totally" agree with this answer since legal decisions are not usually made by minors as governed by local and state regulations. The 24 year old could be "Contribu…ting to the delinquency of a minor" in any activity engaged by them. Responsibility and consequences for any actions can result in legal charges. Same as violations of curfew, marriage, drinking, etc ( Full Answer )
Yes. The 19 year old is an adult and the 16 year old is a minor.
The only choices are for the good of the child. Some options are to marry and take care of the child until it is 18 yrs old, or have it and put it up for adoption.

He could be charged as an adult, convicted of sexual crimes, up to and including statutory rape, a felony, with prison time, and forced to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
nope, she would have to be under 16 because that could be charged as rape.
You are both close in age. It does not matter if the oldest or the youngest get pregnant or not. Most states have a 24-36 months age difference as the limit of a close age relationship. At age 15, it is 36 months up, and you are within that age. It should not pose a threat of legal actions. I…t could mean that a lovely baby get a quite young mother and an even younger father. You do not go to bed for acting like Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is actually intertwined in the law by not making it legal but at the same time deeming it not punishable as well. Not all states acknowledge this Romeo and Juliet part, but most do have similar interpretations. ( Full Answer )
It depends on where you live, because the age of consent is different in different countries and states. However, in most places the age of consent is 16, so it would not be illegal in those places
Depends on what state you are. There are states with age of consent law that has close in age exemptions but at 14, they are few. Most likely will this be sexual abuse.

If the guy is 18 and over and the girl or parents report it to police, yes. But I believe with bail. 17 & younger, no. It's not illegal.
He pays child support for the next 21 years or so. It is only a criminal act if he committed rape.
No she cant the truth is you can have a baby any age with anyone if you have a period
If the minor is below the age of consent in her state, yes, then it's statutory rape. It's also possible the court would raise the age of consent in this case to 18 because of the adults age.
Your question is not clear. Are you asking what percentage of 17 year olds get pregnant? or what is the percentage for a 17 year old to get pregnant?
Depends if 17 is adult age in your state and 16 is not. That would be statutory rape. Some states have a law so you can get it easier if you are no more then 3 years apart. So it depends on where you live. If age of consent is 16 in her state the sex was legal and it was not statutory rape..
The 17yo has reached the age of consent in all territories of Australia and I can't find anything that you would get into trouble for it.
Will a 17 year old girl and 16 year old boy get arrested or get in trouble for running away and getting married without parental consent because the girl is pregnant?
Since they are minors they need parental consent so no one will marry them or the marriage will not be legal. Even in states where you can get married young due to pregnancy, you still need to go to court and get a judge's permission and they rarely give that. If you do manage to get married nothing… happens and you are then emancipated. If you fail your parents will punish you and you are not emancipated. ( Full Answer )
