Can a 22 L engine from a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier fit a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier if not why?

Yes! 1995-1999 yes it will fit but if you live in states that require inspections it will not pass because of the crank shaft sensor will not be picked up. been there done that!
