Technically, you don't have a "guardian" after age 18, so at 25, one can move out.
You are your own adult.
This would depend on why you live in a group home at 25. There are many medical and mental conditions where the guardians get a court order to prolong their guardianship. If that is what your parents have they decide if you are allowed to move or not.
i talked to DCFS and they told me i'm of age and that i can move out of the group home without my foster parents/ guardians permission and that it's my decision to make theirs...
If you are not yet at the age of emancipation in your state, and/or have not been emancipated by court action, you could be forced to return to your parents/guardians home. Your parents/guardians are STILL legally responsible for everything you do and your actions even if you move out.
Yes. Getting married legally emancipates you from your guardians.
You have to be of legal age to move out or your parents help you. Having a baby changes nothing. Your parents are still your guardians and have responsibility of you.
They are legally allowed to move out, as they are adult "technically", but as far as the school is concerned the parents would still be legal guardians and need to sign any and all excuses.
18
Since you have guardians and live in a group home (I saw your comment on another Discussion so I added it for clarification) I don't think you can. It depends what the papers from the court say. Speak to your guardians and if you can't move to her see if you can see to that you get to see each other more often. There's also letters and emails and Skype where you can talk face to face.
In Missouri, the age limit to move out of your legal guardians' home is 18 years old. At this age, you are considered an adult and can make decisions about where you live.
Yes. Until you are 18, you are subject to the decisions of your guardians.
Yes. Until they turn 18 or get married (which until they are 18 requires the guardians permission) they are the responsibility of the guardians.
No. The child has to file for emancipation (divorce her parents), or her parents would have to sign off parental rights and / or make the new parents legal guardians.
In Pennsylvania, you must be at least 18 years old to legally move out of your parents' or guardians' home without their permission. However, there are exceptions for minors who are married, in the military, or have been declared emancipated by a court.
