usually, yes
2 srokes have powerband (response) and they rev higher = more power
It's how the engines work. for the same amount of power, a 2-stroke will be lighter, smaller and rev higher. It'll also use more fuel and pollute more. A 4-stroke will run cleaner and more efficiently. It'll make more torque but won't rev as high.
the 2 stroke has more rpm than 4 stroke because it has less moving parts and the cycles are faster because there is only 2 and in the 4 stroke there is 4
-Low maintainence(no crank case oil to change or valves to set) -Simple in design (VERY easy to rebuild) -The ability to rev much higher than a 4-stroke(less minor shifting) -Impressive "snap" during the power band -Much less moving parts than a 4-stroke A 2-stroke engine fires on every complete engine cycle giving it, in theory, twice the power of a 4-stroke. Unfortunately, due to the engine design restrictions, the 2-stroke's power only becomes available at higher RPMs. At low RPMs 2-stroke engines are clunky and gutless. So, if you ride aggressive, your always on the throttle, you need that quick pick up often, you will benifit from it.
Rev it up if it has a screaming high picked sound it's a 2 stroke. If it's a deep sound it's a 4 stroke
Because is giving you higher torch on a very short time, comparing with 4 stroke.
There are plenty of pointers, but quite a few exceptions as well: - 4-stroke engines will have a camshaft, a 2-stroke can do without - a 4-stroke will have an oil sump, and a separate pressurised oil lubrication system. A 2-stroke can get by on oil mixed in with the fuel - 4 stroke will generally rev lower than a 2-stroke - a 4-stroke will generally have intake and exhaust valves in the cylinder head, while a 2-stroke may get away by using ports in the crank case.
With enough effort, yes. But it'll probably be better to simply sell the 4-stroke and buy a 2-stroke instead. 2-strokes rev higher, but have less torque, so you'll probably want to use a gearbox intended for a 2-stroke as well. And don't expect engine mounts and stuff simply to line up, you may well have to have new brackets made and added tot he frame.
i say that a 4 stroke is faster than a 2 stroke
It won't rev properly, and the spark plug might soot up.
In a 2 stroke, every second stroke of the engine is a power stroke. In a 4 stroke, every 4th stroke of the engine is a power stroke. Knowing this, a 2 stroke has double the power as a 4, in the same cc
2-stroke engines produce much more power than 4-stroke.
