can a 5 week fetus show on an ultrasound
zero to none
Most typically, the yolk sac develops around week 5 or 6 and can sometimes be seen on ultrasound this early.
A five week old fetus usually has the tail. Other features are still invisible.

At 5 weeks it's a embryo not a fetus. it just grows and can not feel, hear or is aware of anything yet.
It is not likely. The earliest an ultrasound can usually detect pregnancy is about 5 1/2 weeks. Although you may be able to see a little sac (with essentially nothing in it) a heart beat may not be able to be detected. This is nothing to worry about though. Implantation occurs at Week 2 of pregnancy so it is not likely that implantation would be able to be seen with an ultrasound.
no all the organs are not completely formed until week 13.
Hello. I can understand how worrying this must be for you when the doctor doesn't see the foetus on a 5 week scan. But please dont be worried as this is perfectly normal. A fetus usually shows up on a ultrasound when your in your 6th week of pregnancy and sometimes the foetus doesn't become clear till your in your 7th week of pregnancy. I hope this has helped you some. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Embryo. It's a fetus week 10-38.
Using ultrasound, yes. I had one done at 4 weeks with my first pregnancy. No everyone will see it though. Its very small..
yes, i had a doctor tell me that an ultrasound will not show a pregnancy until 5 weeks. that is not a fact but just what i was told. when i was pregnant the ultrasound lady had a hard time seeing my baby and i was 5 weeks, i had to go back the next week and she saw the baby perfect.
week # 10==================== Using a Doppler ultrasound, the fetal heart can be detected at around the 6th - 7th week of pregnancy these days.
