I don't think 6 years old is exactly prime time... but if dogs are like humans in that they produce sperm throughout their whole life (and they're both mammals, so I'm sure they are similar in that way) then it is possible for it to mate with another dog and probably produce puppies that are just fine.
Not necessarily, although the best breeding age is three years old. If your Dog is still perfectly healthy and active then I see no reason why she couldn't have one litter. If you are unsure, take her to the vet for a checkup to make sure she is completely healthy to give you peace of mind.
Just a note. multiple litters shorten her life span
yes a six year old dog is able to breed.even though us humans can probably not have babies over the age of 45 dogs can have puppies at any age.
No, that's the "beginning" age to breed a dog.
yes
about 6 yrs
About 5-6 years old
Yes but it is not desirable for your six month old puppy to have puppies. A six month old is not completely matured yet, and it is a lot of stress on them to give birth at such a young age. They may not properly care for their offspring.
yes if your dog is over the age of 6 ur dog shouldn't have babies
With any dog, ages 6 - 7 is about it, for the dog's sake.
dogs are like humans in this perspective, the older a dog gets the less likely there will be puppies or there will be more problems with them. the ideal age for a dog to have puppies would be around 2-4 years.
I have had two female pugs and , it has gone into heat at 6-12 months, our vet recommended not before 1 should a dog have puppies, this is because the puppies would be to big for the mom....
usually after 6 to 9 weeks the puppies should be old enough to adopt out
5 times 6
Usually between 6 and 8 weeks.
I would wait until she is about 2 years old I think...I find a pregnant year old dog being still a bit to young.
Anywhere from 6 months to about a year old.
