No, 1978- 81 are the same or 1982-1987 are the same. looking at pictures of the 2 fender groups the hood, door seam even the front grill angles are different.
Just look on the block right above the transmission or right in front of the heads and then search that number through a book or the internet.

The 81 is a full frame. The S10 upper and lower control arms are the same.

yes they should bolt up the same the cabs are the same from 73 - 87 the only thing hat changes really is the dash and the front clip. Mike
