It can be done but the cost far out weighs the end results. The computer and wiring harnesses will have to be changed. I am not sure if the transmission will mate up.
Difficulty will vary depending on the type and age of the V6. Something carbureted will be much easier, transmissions will not mate up. Engine and transmission mounts will require fabrication and the driveshaft modified. Drop us a line on Mazdatruckin.com and we'll help you work it out.
where is the fuel pump on a 89 Mazda b2200
The front dash speakers in the 89 Mazda b series pickup trucks are 4".
lookin to find out what other type of bucket seats will fit a 89 mazda b 2600i
There is NOT a adjustment for the 1989 b2200 valves. They are hydraulic and requires no maintenance!!!!!!
My 89 B2200 does this. Its like there is a dead spot in the acceleration. It is because the accelerator pump is leaking.
YES!
Yes it is and its the easyest to do.
Coolant temperature sensor is locatedat the front of the intake manifold near the upper radiator hose.
If you are referring to the 4 cylinder engine, then the answer is yes. Both 89 and 90 use the 3S-FE 2.0 4 cylinder engine. If you have the 2VZ-FE 2.5 V6, then you cannot swap from one to the other.
Yes, the 86-89 B2000 engine will bolt into the 86-93 B2200. There are two mounts that go from the engine to the transmission on either side, you'll need to transfer these from the B2200 engine onto the B2000 engine. You will also need to keep the lower radiator hose from the B2000. Mazdatrucking.com has additional information on engine swaps as well as forums.
I use Rock Auto for hard to find parts. I am surprised at the selection of parts and the resonable prices they offer.
I would neither to this.I may be slightly biased and say stick with the sohc 4 cydlr just due to easier to maintain, cost, and very reliable.Unless you just want to go bigger do the b2600 engine, and there will be some things you will have to change to like wiring harness, ecm, and so forth. That is my recommend being I have owned my 87 for 23yrs since new.Good luck on your swap.
