How do you change a clutch in a 1991 B2200?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Not to be smart but, unless you are very mechanically inlcined I suggest having a local shop do this job. This requires dropping the transmission and alot of other misc items too long to list. This does require alot of various tools,KNOW HOW,and parts obviously.I would honestly recommend this route being you do not have a manual haynes or chiltons with a step by step and this is something that needs to be done correctly with the mechanical experience on vehicles.I have done this myself and is a cake walk for ME several times and have owned my 1987 for 23 yrs and know this truck and your model is no different on this procedure!Seriously take it to a shop.It will be one less headache for you and it will be done in less time, correct and have a nice 91 running smoothly again.OK

Using the special tool, pull the radio partially out of the instrumant panel, then disconnect the pwer, speaker and antenna wires from the radio 4. How does one replace a starter on a 1991 Toyota pick up truck?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

if its a v-6 remove the RF tire, remove the 4 10mm bolts on the inner fender shield and the clips that secure the rubber shield. this will give you enough clearance to remove the starter. remove the front splash shield and you can see the starter on the passenger side of the engine. remove the small wire, remove the large wire with a 12mm socket on a long enough extension to reach it from the bottom of the veh. The rest is acedemic, a couple of bolts and a little twisting of the starter it will come out right through the wheel well.

Raise and support the vehicle.

From under the vehicle remove the large and small power wires to the starter.

Remove the starter mounting bolts

Remove the starter.

Reverse procedure for installation.

Why is there no pressure when the clutch is engaged 86 b2000?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

First, check the fluid level for the clutch reservoir.

If it is low check the slave cylinder mounted on the right hand side of the transmission.

If it is leaking fluid you need to replace the slave cylinder.

If it is not leaking and fluid level is okay, your clutch master cylinder is bad.

Unless the clutch was slipping in any gear you normally can rule out the clutch.

Do not rule out a bad throw out bearing which moves the fork arm inside the transmission (normally you would have heard noise from it while in neutral or in gear prior too the problem.

It's likely to be the slave cylinder as Mazda b series are notorious for this going out, worst case scenario is that your clutch master is spoilt.

Auto zone sells these parts and so does advance auto parts.

If you do have to buy the clutch master, it is sold as exactly what you will have to remove it. It has the hard lines, and there are two nut screws you remove from inside the track at the firewall.

You will have to bleed the system when replacing either part.

Normally clutch failure or throw out bearing issues are apparent before you have no pedal.

To diagnose, start simple.

It's usually the slave cylinder or clutch master unless other issues were present before.

The starter on a 1996 Mazda B3000 is located near the battery terminal. Unbolt the starter wiring and thread the mounting bolts through the starter. Finally, reconnect the starter wiring.

Where should the timing marks be pointing on the crank and cam when you put the timing belt back on 1986 Mazda b2000?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Well depending on the cam gear your truck may have a (A,B,C ) and not (1,2,3).On the cam gear or sprocket you want the arrow stamped in the metal behind it lined up with A! That is number 1.Now with the crankshaft you will want that lower gear pulley with the notch like a U to line up with the arrow stamped into the metal behind that gear.It is really easy to see and the ARROW looks like a V really.Sometimes this may be off a 1/8 inch but within the range cam(topside) or the crankshaft U indention.Hope this is clear enough and take your time,It took me several times to achieve this because the belt being off one tooth on my tries.

How do you change the timing belt on a 1994 Mazda B-2300?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I am working on this. It is not a good idea. If the belt broke, I was told the valves may have hit the pistons. If you are looking to replace a worn belt, go get it done at an auto shop. The belt needs a special tool, and adjustment. It takes 2 hours to replace the belt, and you need a wheel puller.

Can a 1991 4 cylinder engine be swapped out with a 6 cylinder on a 1991 Mazda B2200 5 speed RWD?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It is interchangeable for sure. However you would have to change the wiring harness out from your current that feeds the ecm. That would mean removing the current ecm and harness in the truck and place the harness and ecm from the v6 more than likely.I am not sure if the harness for dash side going thru the firewall would or would not being same(likely would need harness from the donor trk).Being the 4 cydlr is somewhat different than the v6 the wiring on the dash instrument cluster maybe the same and the fuse box may be different as well.I would suggest checking out mazdatruckin.com a member who post here alot runs that and would be better able to answer all the specifics bc there are alot I simply cannot not answer with exact knowledge of.It can be done, just not sure of the changes necessary being the 86-93 are essentially the same truck aside from models, eng, trans, and 2 or 4wd etc.Hope this helps.

How do you take a window crank off of a 2 door 1995 Chevy Cavalier?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You will have to separate the door panel and the crank, then shine a light in and you will see the c-clip that keeps the crank attached to the shaft if you can pry that clip off the lever will pop right off (it is kind of tricky though)

Properly-

There is a specialized 'GM Window and Door Clip Removal Tool' that will accomplish the task much easier than disassembling the door panel. It can be found in most any auto parts store and is sometimes available as a 'loaner' tool from Autozone outlets.
