If the countertop is the same size and dimension then you can transfer it to a new counter fairly easily (relatively speaking). However, if they are different sizes it would end up costing less to simply buy new counters because you would need to have it cut and re-attached to form the new block for your new counters.
Suggestion: Purchase new countertops and sell the old to reminent countertop purchases. You can get a return and save some money.
