How are simm and dimm a like?

SIMMs and DIMM are both type of main memory modules. One in single-sided (SIMM) and one is double-sided (DIMM).

What has pins on both sides of the module?

A dimm

Who has a 240-pin DIMM?

DDR2 and DDR3 are both 240 pin DIMM. They have a special notch so as to keep you from putting one where the other belongs.

Name two ways that simm and a dimm are alike name two ways they are different?

Alike- both DRAM, both have pins on both sides of module Different - data path of DIMM is 64 bit, data path of SIMM is 32 bit, and With a SIMM, each pin pair is tied together into a single contact while a DIMM can have memory chips on one side or both sides of the module.

Do any registers run on batteries for working at outdoor sales?

There are new registers that can run on both batteries and electricity.

How many pins are on a sdram dimm on a ddr dimm on a simm on a rimm?

168 pins are used on SDRAM DIMM. 184 pins are used on DDR DIMM. There are either 30 pins or 72 pins used on SIMM. 184 pins are used on RIMM.

How many pin does a DIMM have?

A DIMM is based on two different pin counts. SDRAM has 168 pins and is an earlier generation of RAM. DDR RAM has 184 pins. Both are considered DIMMS.

Is a DIMM or RIMM more expensive given that both holds the same amount of memory?

RIMM is more expensive and less popular because of how old it is.

What is the difference between SDRAM and DIMM because I want to buy a new computer and it says it takes DDR2 SDRAM but when i search he net i find DIMMs. Will the DIMM work?

You're computer will require a "DDR2 SDRAM DIMM". DDR2 SDRAM is the type of memory you are after, it is also a DIMM. Most modern memory are all DIMM's (Dual inline memory module), much older ram were SIMMS (single ingline memory module). DIMM refers more to the physical make up of the module (DIMMS have contacts on both sides of the module). So any DDR2 SDRAM that you buy IS a dimm. You may want to look at the wikipedia page about DDR2 SDRAM at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR2_SDRAM

Can you combine both SIMM and DIMM together on a motherboard which has both sloth?

According to every motherboard manual I have ever read, no you cannot. SIMM memory, now archaic and as far as I know unused on any board still functional today, used different voltages than DIMM memory.

When a dimm has chips on both sides of the module do the pins on one side of the module work independently to pins on the other side of the module?

no

How are buffers produced?

There are two types of Buffer solution and both have different preparation:Acidic BufferAcidic buffers are made by mixing a weak acid with its conjugate base.Example:When we mix Acetic acid with Sodium citrate, an acidic buffer is formed.Basic BufferBasic buffers are made by mixing a weak base with its conjugate base.Example:When Ammonium hydroxide is mixed with Ammonium chloride, a basic buffer is formed.
