Its possible. Since Shounen Jump has a Japan-born root, you'll have to know how to speak and understand Japanese. The chances are not high of getting into Shounen Jump, since its extremely popular and seeks great artists with great stories to compliment their art. Besides Shounen Jump, there's also other manga publishing anthologies.

Answer:

First you need to have a story in mind. If you can draw, then go ahead, if you can't, you must find an artist for your manga. If you are fluent at Japanese, go ahead, if you aren't, find someone that can translate your manga to japanese. Then I don't know, you must travel to Japan or find some way like send e-mails to Shonen Jump. If they accept your manga, you have acomplished your dream.

Not just anyone can be a professional mangaka. There are a few things to consider. First, you have to be proficient in manga, as well as other art styles. You have to be able to keep your work consistent, work well with a team, be versatile, be responsible, and be capable of working under pressure and deadlines.

To draw manga on your own for your own pleasure, all it takes is some practice and maybe a couple of how to books from the library.

Yes, they can. It doesn't matter if you're British, American, Japanese, or any ethnicity! You have the freedom to express what you love! Manga did originate in Japan, but it has influenced us and everyone around the world. Same goes with Cartoons. Everywhere, people are drawing these things. As well as traditional art. The basic form of drawing realistically. Everyone draws their own style in a certain art form. Keep your head high and work hard. Don't listen to what anyone else says. You can be whoever you want to be. Just know it is tough buisness out there and extreme deadlines. Example(s): Bizenghast. RE: Play. Dramacon was even written by a british person.
