- Murder is murder in most parts of the world. No, a Japanese woman cannot get away with murdering her husband for cheating and if she should try and with a good lawyer she may get off on an 'insanity plea' which still constitutes imprisonment and psychological treatment at the very least. Sometimes murdering a spouse can backfire and the person could get life imprisonment to the death penalty.
