Yes it can, but with limitations.... The engine in this vehicle has a 10.5:1 compression ratio which means that no matter how far the spark is retarded by the knock sensor there will be unnecessarily high combustion pressures which could cause engine damage and/or severely shortened engine life. The vehicle will seem to run the same but high combustion pressures will be shortening the life of the engine.
If you mistakenly fuel up with regular gas it would be prudent to avoid any heavy acceleration, or driving situations that would require the engine to pull hard such as trailer towing or steep hills.
