definetly, bought a Nissan Sentra for my son, has 280 thousand miles on it, as long as you take care of the engine it will last. Engine is wonderful. runs superbly
hundred thousand to two hundred thousand miles!
my bro has 2004 1 and it has got 228.000 miles on it drives everday
I have a 98 Nissan sentra, and it doesn't have a timing belt.
Yes. I know people who have over 150000 miles but I wouldn't recommend it. If it breaks you may be in for a new motor.
Depends on the year. On any Sentra made in the last 10 years change the spark plugs every 100,000 miles unless you have a misfire. In that case change them immediately. On an older Sentra change them every 75,000 miles.
They can last a long time but they can also break without warning. The owners manual shuld say how long before replacing. I would guess at least 50,000 miles or so between replacing it.
I was told that timing belts should be replaced every 60,000 miles. However, when I called the local Nissan dealer for my 2003 Sentra, they told me it does not ever need to be replaced. Then I read somewhere that apparently Nissan guarantees the timing belt/chain to last the life time of the engine. I also read that 2003 Sentra has a timing chain, not a belt.
around 150000 but if a diesel the max 300000
When the engine is overhauled as it is designed to normally last the life of the engine.
call a parts store and see if they have a timing belt for it...if one is listed, they may also have the change interval listed...usually 60,000 miles...:)
Normally it will last the life of the engine and is replaced when the engine is overhauled.
Replace it when the engine needs a complete overhaul, if the chain becomes noisy, or if you are unable to keep the engine timed. Normally they last well over 100,000 miles.
