If the cause of the code is not repaired, erasing it will not do any good.
It can't be done. The factory code is absolutely integral to the madule and will never be erased. That is something the engeneers decided was a "better idea." It's part of the engineering of the module. ----------------------------------------- The above person is haft correct regarding the factory code can never be erased. You can erase the old codes you had before and program a new codes in as long as it's not the factory code. Even the factory code can be change by the dealer only. You will need to have the code read with a scan tool, repair the cause of the codes, and then the code can be erased with the scan tool.
It doesn't send anywhere. That file permanently dissapears and all code from it is erased
i have replace the crankshaft sensor but the code cannot be erased
Yes they are stored in the memory of ECU unless the are erased by a code reader.
You dont and even after they are hooked back up the code would have most likely been erased after the battery was disconnected.
