Yes the legacy can fit the motor, they are dimensionally the same on the outside. The only issue you will have is the turbo setup. The cross member will not allow the exhaust piping to work. So you would have to go all custom for piping. However, you can get the cross member from an early 90s turbo legacy and it will bolt right in. Assuming you have a 90-99 legacy.
