The disadvantages to buying used Subaru Imprezas are that buying parts can be expensive as they are usually only available at Subaru dealerships and they are not very economical on fuel.
a evo is faster by a mile imprezas lag to 60
A stock USDM Subaru Impreza of any trim (Turbo or N/A) is electronically limited to go no faster than 130 mph.
yes, the WRX and STI are both turbocharged.
Depends what year of Mustang GT and what Subaru. Overall, the Mustang. But if it's an Impreza WRX STi, then it depends on the Mustang. The new Mustangs will easily beat the Imprezas though and some older ones will too
My 2005 Subaru Impreza has a timing belt. And it just cost me an engine. Make sure you replace it based on the owners manual. Should be about every 100k miles. Don't make the mistake I made and neglect this.
That depends on if you mean subaru of America or subaru of japan. Subaru of America started offering turbocharged cars in the mid 80 in the form of the GL-10 and I believe the RX as well. these were no better than the non-turbo versions. Subaru then turbocharged the legacy in 91 and 92. this was a 2.2l Closed deck block (ej22T) A very strong motor and very sought after in the performance world, making about 165hp! Subaru dropped the turbo cars after that until 2002 when they came out with the impreza wrx. that was the ej20t, a 2.0L making about 230 hp. then in 04 the release of the impreza wrx sti there was the 2.5L ej25t making 300 hp. subaru of japan has offered turbocharged versions of all of their cars in every model year! subaru of japan also released the ej20tt. a twin turbo version of the ej20t. it only fits in the right hand drive cars due to the steering column. I belive that was around from 95-99. subaru of japan has also now released a Turbocharged diesel motor for the 2010 and up cars.
The Subaru WRX STI is the fastest production Subaru, capable of reaching speeds of over 150 mph. Its performance is enhanced by a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive system, and sport-tuned suspension.
yes the 93 WRX impreza uses a lambda but only pre cat/turbo,on the left front as you look at the car its in the upstream pipe to the turbo/cat under the car
Yes, it is turbocharged.
Yes, Subaru has produced vehicles with a 6-cylinder engine, notably in the Subaru Outback and Legacy models in the past. These engines are typically part of Subaru's flat-six lineup, known as the "Boxer" engine design. However, most of Subaru's current models primarily feature 4-cylinder engines, as the brand has shifted its focus towards fuel efficiency and performance with turbocharged 4-cylinder options.
Most Subaru models use a timing belt, often referred to as a cambelt, particularly in their older and non-turbocharged engines. However, many of their newer models, especially those with turbocharged engines and certain boxer engines, utilize a timing chain instead. It's important to check the specific model and engine type to determine whether it has a cambelt or a timing chain. Always refer to the owner's manual for maintenance recommendations.
