A mobile phone carrier is what company u have your phone plan under. It can be t-mobile, cingular, ATnT, and others.
Technically speaking, a Cingular phone can be used with T-Mobile, as you only need to switch the SIM card. However, the phone may be locked to Cingular, in which you need to unlock it to be used with another GSM network.
A U Mobile phone may be purchased online or at an electronics retailer. Secondhand phones can be purchased on auction sites such as eBay. Any carrier unlocked, quad-band GSM phone will work on U Mobile.
