yes a fluctuation in pressure could cause it. check pressure with a guage
Yes. A fuel pressure regulator maintains the adequate fuel pressure required by the engine. A faulty fuel pressure regulator might leak fuel or cause your engine to run lean. It could create hard starts, knock and ping, or hesitationat full throttle.
What make? What year? If it's a carbureted engine, the voltage regulator is likely integrated into the alternator (some are serviceable, some are not). If the engine is fuel injected, the engine's computer usually serves as the voltage regulator.
Need to know the year, make, model and engine size to answer that one.
No, on a fuel injected engine it can cause high idle speed.
On a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix, the fuel pressure regulator is typically located on the fuel rail, which is mounted on the engine. It is usually found near the intake manifold, and you may need to remove the engine cover or other components for better access. Make sure to relieve the fuel system pressure before attempting to inspect or replace the regulator.
The fuel regulator pressure switch is typically located on or near the fuel rail in the engine compartment. It is connected to the fuel pressure regulator, which helps manage fuel pressure in the fuel system. In some vehicles, the switch may be integrated into the fuel pump assembly or mounted on the fuel tank. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for the exact location, as it can vary by make and model.
A bad fuel cap can make your check engine light go on. It shouldn't cause your car to run rough or die.
The van wont start and we were told it was the air and fuel regulator or is it the fuel pressure regulator that the lines to the gas peddle go into to make the vehicle run
under plastic engine cover driver side where fuel line enter. this is pressure regulator. with cover off make sure you have steel lines running to injectors. if not cadillac has a recall on the plastic one and will replace for free
Fuel Pressure regulator is on the top of fuel pump module. Fuel pump module removal is not necessary. REMOVAL 1- Raise vehicle on hoist. 2- Disconnect fule supply line at the filter/Regulator nipple. 3 Depress locking spring tab on side of fuel/Regulator and rotate 90 degrees counter-clockwise and pull out. Make sure the upper and lower o rings are on the filter/regulator assembly, and lightly lubricate the o rings with engine oil.
Check the fuel pump pressure, the fuel pressure regulator may be bad. Need to know year, make, model and engine size to give you fuel pump specs.
A damaged fuel pressure regulator can cause a car not to start.
