Yes... the charge off is an accounting entry by them, and if it happened, they may report it to the credit agencies. Charge offs don't change your obligation to pay, just reflects their expectation to receive the money. Once the BK is finalized, they will probably note that it was cleared by BK, so others don't think you still owe it. They cannot try and collect the debt during BK...but credit reporting is not an attempt to collect it. Anything other than accurate reporting of things to the credit agencies by those using the services would result in credit reports being meaningless. Basically, your BK and the accounts it effected will be reported for 10 years from discharge, although the case, being of public record, may well be available to anyone that cares for much longer.
Chapter 7 will stay on your credit report for 10 years from the date bankruptcy was filed. Chapter 13 typically stays on your credit report for 7 years from the date the bankruptcy was filed, however, can remain on your credit report for 10 years.
it will show the balance & the bankruptcy followed there after.so the answer is NO. GOOD LUCK
No. Filing a bankruptcy creates a public record that does not go away because you did not complete the bankruptcy. - once you file and get a case number you have filed for bankruptcy. if you didn't follow through and it got dismissed is regardless. you still filed for bankruptcy and it will still be on your credit report.
When you have filed Bankruptcy.
Yes. It will show that you filed bankruptcy and that the bankruptcy was dismissed.
10 years
Was that debt including in bankruptcy.
35 years old
Look at the date your bankruptcy was filed. 10 years from that date it should be off.
No. A bankruptcy becomes a public record as soon as it is filed. Its the same as any other type of lawsuit. Even if they are dismissed, they will still show up when searching for your name. The fact that a bankruptcy was not completed does not negate the fact that it was filed.
Not if the debt was discharged in the bankruptcy. If the judgment was on the credit report before the bankruptcy was filed and/or was discharged in the bankruptcy, the entry will still remain on the CR for seven years.
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy will be removed from a credit report 10 years after the date the Bankruptcy was FILED.
