If you aren't paying in full they can repossess the car. To a bank " some sort of a payment " doesn't count. Call them and make arrangements.

Can a bank repossess a car if they continue to take payments?

YESIFyou are not up to date, if you are behind on your payments they can repossess at anytime. In most loans, there's a statement about late and/or partial payments that basically says the bank can take them but isn't obligated to do so and that taking one late or partial payment does not mean that they have to continue to do so.So, if you owe $200 a month, and pay $100, the bank can accept that and still repossess the car. They do have to credit the $100 towards the loan. Also, banks are usually allowed to repossess for habitually late payments. Most of the time a bank will consider this to be more hassle than it's worth as long as you're eventually catching up, but if you're chronically making payments several weeks late, they might at some point decide "this guy is a flake, we should get out of this deal while we still stand some chance of recovering our money."

If a Ttuck payment is 19 days late can they repossess your truck in Pennsylvania?

It depends on the terms of the loan. If you signed it and it's in there, you are bound to those terms. Some loans specify 5 days late. That's a good reason to get loans from a small bank or a credit union.

If you are a cosigner for your son's car loan which is at the same bank where your account is is it legal for the bank to take his missed payment out of your account without any notice?

Yes. When a loan is held at the same bank where the borrower or cosigner have accounts the lending agreement will include a "set off" clause which allows them to legally remove the amount owed for the loan payment or in some cases of default the entire amount of the loan (or account). Actually, this is a favor. The missed payment will not affect your credit score. This puts the issue back in your court. If your son cannot pay for the car, then you may need to repossess the vehicle.

Is canceling a payment on a credit card considered fraud?

No, but you will need to make another payment or it is late. The bank will charge you a late fee if it goes past the due date. If you are having problems making the payment I suggest you call the card to see if you can lower payments or change the due date. Some cards/banks will work with you.
