When you turn the ignition key to the run position just before starting the vehicle the check engine light will light for a few seconds to check the bulb
Yes, it is a component and like all components it can fail.
When the check engine light is on the computer has information that you should know. Connect a code scanner to find out why and most likely it will tell you what is causing the rich burn condition.
A mis fire occurs when the fuel/vapor mixture does not ignite and burn properly in a cylinder.
Is it possible an electrical problem can cause my engine coil to burn on my Mazda 323
Several things can cause an engine to burn oil, and all of them are pretty normal in an engine with lots of miles. Oil control rings are often a problem. They are on the piston and while they can be replaced, you'd be better off buying a new engine. Other things that can cause an engine to burn oil are valve seals (common) and valve guides (uncommon). If you have a high mileage engine, I wouldn't worry unless you have a big cloud of black smoke coming out the exhaust. Best thing you can do is just check the oil often.
get a new light
Several things can cause burning oil. A bad PCV valve can allow oil to be mixed into the fuel and burn. Or the piston rings can be worn and let oil leak pass by. Worn valves can cause this as well. Check the PCV valve, then the engine compression to try and determine the cause.
Yes.
Do you mean MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR? If so, a check engine light should occur. Get it fixed, otherwise your cars computer will not work properly it will cause you to burn fuel and will give you a rough idle or no start depending on how bad it gets or the type of computer your car uses.
A couple things can most commonly wore piston rings which cause the engine to burn off oil that is allowed to leak into a cylinder where combustion occurs. Could also be a faulty engine seal allowing oil to leak when parked or during operation. I would check for leaks first.
yes because the engine cannot burn water.
