Unlike humans, cats, dogs and other animals are not bound by social taboos or realise that breeding with family members can result in birth defects and deformities. If keeping a male and a female that are related in the same household, they must be neutered/spayed.

∙ 10y agoYou should never breed siblings, be they of the same litter or not. The genetic combination can be harmful, and thus bred cats are usually more vulnerable to sicknesses and are physically weaker.
