You would need to check the power requirements for each appliance and compare them to the capacity of the circuit. But I wouldn't recommend it.

Why does my refrigerator keep tripping the breaker?

The most likely possibility is the refrigerator has a problem and needs to be fixed. Another possibility is the refrigerator is on a circuit that does not have enough current capacity to operate it and other appliances that are on the same circuit.

Why a freezer must have a dedicated circuit?

You don't want your freezer breaker to trip while you are away for the weekend and spoil all your frozen food. The dedicated circuit will be sized so breaker will only trip because of some truly dangerous situation. If you are sharing the circuit, some load could inadvertently cause the breaker to trip. For example, if you had a refrigerator and separate freezer on the same circuit. They might run just fine for a while, but then they both decide to turn on their compressors at the same time causing an over-current situation and cause breaker to trip. Naturally this will occur at the worst possible time.

Is the Avanti Avanti about the same size as the freezer on my refrigerator at 2.9 cubic feet?

The Avanti offers 2.9 cubic feet of freezer storage space.

Can you run microwave and freezer on same outlet?

It is not recommended to do this. The reason being is that if both appliances are on at the same time, there is a chance that the breaker will trip. If the breaker is not reset right away it will leave the refrigerator with no power. A fridge with no power will start to defrost if it has a freezer compartment. When new homes are being built electricians wire each individual appliance outlet as a dedicated circuit, meaning that only one appliance outlet is assigned to that circuit and nothing else.

Why do the bulbs dim when the refrigerator turns on?

The refrigerator has a motor load within it. When the refrigerator starts it draws a high current. This high starting current draws the voltage down until the refrigerator's motor (compressor) gets up to speed. A refrigerator is an appliance that should be on a dedicated circuit. This means that no other electrical devices should be connected to the refrigerators circuit. If the lights are dimming, then the refrigerator is on the same circuit as the lights.

Can Chest Freezers be operated upright or does this affect the gas pressure cylinder?

They were made to sit that way for a reason. If you want a stand up freezer, sell your chest freezer and go buy a stand up freezer. They look the same as refrigerators, but have a freezer inside instead. Check Lowe's or Home Depot for new ones.

Can a freezer be on same circuit as sub pump?

No, a sump pump should be its own circuit and although it's not code, you should also have your freezer on it's own circuit. If they were on the same circuit it would most likely trip the breaker or blow the fuse. This could result in a wet basement and the food in the freezer thawing out!

Why is freezer colder than the refrigerator?

The freezer is colder then the fridge because the freezer is to keep things frozen and the fridge is to keep things just cold. Somethings are meant to be frozen and if not then they get spoiled or ruined and same with the fridge.
