If there is no sanctity of family in a household the family will self destruct. Family is where everything starts. You learn how to speak, walk, and act in the home. If there is no proper teaching in the home when the children leave there family and are not taught the basic knowledge of how to live their life they start off on a path of ruin from the start. If the family is stable that means the parents don’t abuse any substance or are prone to bad habits the children have much better chance of not developing bad habits. The stability of a family is vital to the childhood of everyone and there adulthood. Habits that children develop when they are young are the most reluctant. If the parents are leading by good example the children will follow if the parents are leading by bad example will still follow. No matter what the parents are lead the children. So in a house where family is not sacred children will not be lead in the path of success and uprightness but in the path of failure and condemnation. On the subject of the next part of the principle where it states that my spouse and I are the ultimate authority, I am not married so I don’t have a spouse, but the point is that the parents are the authority in the household. The principle talks about how they are authorities before the government but I would like to talk about something I have seen creeping into families. This atrocity is that parents are losing control over their children. I’m seeing more and more of this going on. Children are taking over the household and no longer honoring their mother and father. Parents used to say, “If you don’t stop you’re going to get a spanking”, and it worked this I before parents were afraid of their children. Now parents tell their children, “If you don’t stop I’m not buying you new toys.” This sets the child off on a tantrum which the parents try to stop by buying them what they want thus rewarding the child for disobeying in the first place and pitching the fit. Now we can see why parents are no longer in control of their children. But people try to blame the insolence of children on some medical abnormality like ADD. It is in fact the fault of the parents and ultimately the nature of the child.
