If your child is at the age (younger than 6) which she will swallow some of the paste, it is best to brush with just water. The optimal level of fluoride is 1.1 parts per million. If your area is higher (many are) in fluoride than 1.1 ppm, and you are cooking with said water, best to go with either just water on the brush, or a non-fluoride paste. Too much fluoride can cause discoloration of permanent teeth developing in the jaws.
Most cities in the usa add flouride to tap water. I prefer not to be poisened so i never drink unfiltered tap. Also in your toothpaste that's why your not supposed to swallow it.

If you drink government regulated water, you are on drugs, flouride etc

You can buy special toothbrushes and dog toothpaste that are sensitive to their mouths and teeth from the vet or any pet shop and there is one that you put over your finger which has tiny bristles. brush this all around your puppies mouth and then after make sure they drink water so that the toothpaste is cleared from their mouth. Hope this works.
Try using Colgate Sensitive Enamel Protect toothpaste to protect the enamel on your teeth. Also you can drink lots of water after eating acidic foods to wash the acid off your teeth.
Wait at least 30 minutes.
The best way to brush teeth is by cleaning first the outer upper surface and down surfaces of the teeth with the brush at a 45 degree angle. Then cleaning the inner surface of the upper and downs surface of the teeth. Also cleaning the chewing surface and tongue for a better breath.
I was actually doing some reasearch on Flouride and came across a can of sprite , i looked for the ingredients that were added to the drink and it did not mention Flouride. Though i guess there might be because some companies don't mention what is it exactly they put in Soda. Coke for sure , but how do we no if it's any different?
Yes, if you brush and floss your teeth everyday.
